- United Airlines DC-6B "Mainliner Colors" N37566
- On 400scalehanger.com, there are long discussions as to whether the color of this plane is correct. Some say it is too light, some say it is too dark. There is only one picture on Airliners.net of this particular aircraft. The colors look darker in the image than the model itself. One must realize that the aircraft paint jobs faded with time. The first DC-6s flew for United in October, 1946 and the last one was delivered to United 1958 and all of them retired by 1970. Forty three DC-6s worked for United. (Posted on 9/27/2010)
