Gemini Jets 400 Hawaiian Airlines Boeing 767-33A/ER (W) N580HA (cn 28140/850)
First off I love the livery of Hawaiian Airlines. The colors are pleasing and GJ has mastered this time and time again with previous issues in the livery and of other air frames. The the B763 mould works very well with seam visibility at a minimum. The nose shape of the model aliens with images of the actual aircraft and the colors much perfectly. Landing gears appear scaled and detailed. You can see the lug nuts on the tires. Windows line up properly and the cockpit alignment appears fine. You can see the wipers on the cockpit windows. Landing lights are also part of the details along with wing tip and fuselage warning lights. Cargo bay doors are also clearly marked. You can see the door handles on the passenger doors. These are the details I appreciate in a model for an airline that has been a model of success. For there feature will be take some time to tell whether adding an Airbus product to their lineup is a good idea from training and the cost of maintaining two sets of mechanics and flight crews. On A-net there are two pages of images of this registration, both with winglets and without. This was Hawaiian's first B763. Interestingly enough, N580HA was also the registration of a Convair 580 in the mid-1980s.
GJ previously issued this model without winglets so this is nice to see a history of a particular aircraft in model form.
