Jet-X 200 Alaska MD-82 (DC-9-82)N930AS (cn 49231/1177)
Of the photo images I could find, none of them showed this aircraft as an MD-83. That is what is painted on the model just behind the forward main passenger doors on both sides of the aircraft but all the images identify the planes as a -82 not a -83. The model features antennas on the top and bottom of the model. I like these kind of details. The passenger doors also have markings on them. On the wings the emergency egress lines are painted on the wings. The colors match with the images. Now, I do have a beef with the nose of the Jex-X MD-80. It looks like it is a touch too long compared to the GJ MD-80 mould. After flying for Alaska this plane was sold to TWA and later after the merger with American Airlines it was painted in AA colors. The aircraft went into storage at Roswell, NM in 2003. Review by James F (Posted on 3/30/2011)
