Braniff International Airways McDonnell Douglas DC-8-62CF "N1807" (cn 45904/309) (Panagra Green)
This DC-8 flew in just about all the colors Braniff had. It also was painted in Hawaiian Airlines colors under a lease were BI had leased out several of their DC-8s to Hawaiian. Later this aircraft was converted to a cargo aircraft.

The aircraft was manufactured in 1967 and delivered to Braniff International Nov. 13, 1967 in the Panagra Green colors. It also was in burgundy colors and the ultra colors.

The model is quite striking in the Panagra colors. The model features warning lights on the fuselage and on the wing tips. The passenger doors and windows are printed clearly on the model.

Cargo bay doors are marked, The large cargo door on the fuseage is also visible in a white or sliver outline. There are also attenas on the upper and lower parts of the fuselage.

The cock pit and nose area is spot on with the one on one aircraft. The cockpit windows are gray on black and stand out clearly.

One thing negative about this model and the other DC-8s in this serious is there is a fairly large gap in the seem where the wings meet the fuselage but for me this is not a deal breaker.

I love jelly bean colors. (I now have more jelly beans on my desk than Ronald Reagan had during his presidency!) I can't get enough of them and am glad to add this one to my collection.
