Japan Airlines International or JAL is the flag carrier airline of Japan. JAL's services both passenger and cargo flight to over 200 domestic and international destinations in 35 countries. Established in 1951, JAL didn't begin international flights until 1954 when it serviced from Tokyo to San Francisco. Today, JAL has been unprofitable and has filed from bankruptcy protection after suffering from nearly 100 billion yen in a single quarter.

The JAL fleet consists of A300's, B737's, B747's, B767's, B777's, MD-87's, and MD-90's. JAL has also placed orders for 35 B787's to join their fleet.
