This aircraft first flew under an Air Bus registration Mar. 14, 1997 and was delivered to Air Canada Mar. 27, 1997 in the C-FYLC registration. In July 2007 the aircraft was registered with LAN Airlines in a lease from Air Canada. This is one of the first A340 models Aeroclassic has produced and a great example and hopefully a long line of future diecast models. When you look at the images of this aircraft and compare them with the model, Aeroclassic has reproduced the cockpit, cockpit windows and noes beautifully. The white back ground on the fuselage is a perfect place to put sharply printed, cargo bay doors, passenger windows and doors and many micro size details that are unreadable to the naked eye. Just about ever detail has been accurately reproduced from the engines to the shape and colors on the tail of the red maple leaf on the green back drop. Air Canada has been a big source for diecast models and all their livery changes over the years. There are more than 100 diecast models in 400 scale of Air Canada liveries. (Posted on 8/25/2012)
