Aeroclassic 400 Air Canada A330-343X C-GFAF 931 (cn 277) Green Maple leaf tail livery
Wait till you see this model in your hands. The white back drop is like a canvas for painting details on this model. First off, the aircraft itself was made in 1999 and flew under an Air Bus registration for its first time Jun. 6, 1999 and came to Air Canada Jan. 13, 2000 when it received the C-GFAF registration. This aircraft has Air Canada as its only owner. There was a period in Canadian aviation history of mergers, big fights and in the dust settling this aircraft went through most of the Air Canada colors. It is still flying in the current ice blue colors. There are 15 pages of images of this plane on A-net. This one is particularly useful in seeing how well the model maker did compared to the real aircraft: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-Canada/Airbus-A330-343X/0088486/L/&sid=29152631c026ccccf670c467d53334d1 Printing cargo bay doors and passenger windows and doors on a white back drop such as this model has allows these details to stand out. The model features the red maple leaf on a greenish color tail and is accurate as are the fonts used on the fuselage. The cockpit shape, nose and cockpit windows have been accurately captured. Warning lights on the winks and tail put more detail on the model. The engine shape is perfect. Landing lights on the wings and nose gear even more detail to the model. The Star Alliance emblem is correctly placed behind the cockpit window and the forward door. The liveries of Air Canada are numerous and the model makers have continued to provide a historical story of the airline in diecast metal. Review by James F (Posted on 8/25/2012)
