In 1971 Air India took over its first Boeing 747-200 jumbos, which were not decommissioned until 2003. The second copy is named after the emperor Shah Jehan, who ruled the Mughal Empire in the 17th century. The empire reached its peak under his reign, but he is remembered mainly for his architectural achievements. By far the most famous of the many structures is the Taj Mahal Mausoleum in Agra.
