The air frame was delivered to Alaska Airlines May 30, 1990 and flew with them through the mid-1990s. For a period in 1997 the aircraft flew for Carnival Airlines using the same N294AS registration. After 1998 the aircraft, still using N294AS registration number flew for Champion Air. The few images that are available of this aircraft on A-net might make you think the model's nose is a little short compared to the 1:1. That not being negative enough to cancel the deal, the windows and all of the markings printed on the Alaska snow white fuselage are crisp and clear. The passenger doors are detailed to the point you can see the hinges on the doors and the door handles. On the wings the emergency over the wing exit is clearly marked. Landing lights and warning lights on the model add a great deal of detail as do the markings for the cargo bays. You can see the rear passenger exits which on most 722s was closed over after the many high jackings and the advent of the jetway at airside. For those who collect in 200 scale and love Alaska this is a great addition the the more than 20 AS models. (Posted on 1/11/2011)
