I was glad to see AC do a Canadian version of a Federal Express in the early colors. This aircraft is operated by Morningstar Express. This air frame also carried registration N192FE before getting its Canadian registration. It was delivered to United in 1966 as N7072U. It first flew Dec. 16, 1966 and was delivered to United Dec. 22, 1966 as a passenger aircraft. It was delivered to Federal Express April, 1990 and converted to freighter. It received its Canadian registration Jan., 1991 when leased by Morningstar Express. The classic 721 by Aeroclassic is pretty much flawless. The windows are sharply printed, the cockpit is correctly shaped as is the nose. The Cockpit windows are near perfect. The engine shape is spot on. The color reproduction of this Federal Express liver is spot on. Landing gear is properly scaled and the nose gear cover has the fleet number on it. The cargo bay doors and main forward cargo door add further detail to this model. This is a perfect addition to my Federal Express/Flying Tigers collection.
