This DC-10-30 was built in 1973 and converted to a freighter April, 1984. It did stints with Air Florida, Transamerica Airlines and Transinternational Airlines. Here is a nice short of the aircraft in the original Federal Express colors: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Federal-Express/McDonnell-Douglas-DC-10-30(F)/0893074/L/&sid=3cb5ab9353d22eb77270e7f081fe0a33. Later the plane was painted in the modern FedEx colors of today. The model nose is shaped correctly as are the cockpit windows. You can see the windshield wipers. There are several antennas and warning lights that add to the model's detail. The engines are shaped correctly and so are the landing gear. (Posted on 7/25/2011)
