There are only 7 pictures on A-net but they depict the real plane, fueling and in many angles that make this model more alive for me: http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?cx=partner-pub-8297169501225184%3Aa05n2n-tzky&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=83-0077&sa=Submit&search_active=1&search=&sheadline=&search_field=datedesc&submit=&siteurl=www.airliners.net%252F
The aircraft was built in 1983 and first flew Sept. 12, 1983, delivered to the US Air Force Nov. 3, 1983 and is still operational.
The version Aviation200 has produced has the white top but the aircraft also flew in full dark gray colors later in its life.
The model aircraft tail is properly shaped, then engine looking good and carry the proper flag, tail number and USAF insignia. The cockpit is properly shaped, has wind shield wipers. The landing gear is well done with tire treads and lug nuts visible on the hub caps. The nose gear cover features the fleet number 0077. Cargo bay doors are clearly marked and compare well as for position and color with the photo images.
The fuel boom is properly shaped and sized and in plastic rather than metal and displayed in the "up" position. The doom warning light adds more detail along with several antennas.
I am glad AV200 did this particular color version as it is prettier than the dark gray version. At some point I hope AV200 will take a second look at the nose shape of their DC-10-30. This one and the others seem like they are blunted and could be a little longer. (Posted on 10/12/2011)
